JACKTOOLS.NET / USAGE NOTES
Usage notes
These notes explain how to use our stopwatch and its technical limitations. They do not contain a blanket exclusion of liability or restrict statutory rights.
Free, with no account needed
You can use the stopwatch free of charge without a user account. Support through Buy Me a Coffee is voluntary and is not required to use the stopwatch.
Everyday timing
The stopwatch measures elapsed time and laps. It is intended for everyday use, not medical applications, emergencies, official competition timing or safety-critical tasks. Displaying hundredths of a second does not guarantee that level of accuracy.
Technical limitations
Timing is based on timestamps, not the number of screen updates. Background tabs may delay the display. Device clock changes can affect timing; sleep mode and browser restrictions may impair it. Reloading, changing language or leaving the page discards measurements and laps. There is no alarm function.
Focus view also works without browser fullscreen. Fullscreen and “Keep screen awake” are available only where your browser and device allow them. Keeping the screen awake may be revoked, especially in power-saving mode or when the page moves to the background. It does not prevent manual screen locking. Keeping the display on may increase energy consumption.
Settings stay in your browser
Stopwatch and display preferences are saved persistently only if you enable “Remember settings on this device” and your browser allows it. They are not synchronised between devices. Clearing browser data or using private browsing may cause them to be lost. You can delete saved preferences under “Local settings”.
